Who can give me some info on Oberst Emil Bouhler(the father of the later Reichsleiter). 1917 - 1918 he was Leiter des bayerischen Kriegsamt.

Promotions, Birthdate- and place and anything on his wife would be great!

The Ehrenrangliste has an Oberst a.D. Emil Bouhler who prior to the war served with the Bavarian 1st Foot Artillery Regiment. Died March 15, 1920. There's also a Lt. a.D. Bouhler with the same regiment. The Verlustlisten doesn't have an entry for anyone with the last name Bouhler.

I checked ancestry, which I can only access through the library, and his service record is digitized and is fairly detailed. In terms of personal info:

Bouhler, Emil Jakob
Catholic
born Wuerzburg, Unterfranken, Bayern on 17.7.1867
occupation: active officer
residence: Georgenstr. [?] 85, Munich
wife: Sophie Welsch
children: 2
parents: Philipp (Oberst a. D.) & Emilie [?] (nee Baudoin (or Bandoin)) both deceased.
