Post by Alexander Betzhold » 10 Aug 2021, 01:08

Guten tag,
In this picture of test of Krupp guns in Batuco, Chile 1890, the last men at the right side, with civilian dressing, is indicated like "Krupp agent".

Someone knows who was this Krupp agent?

Best regards

Sources are here: Albert Schinzinger.
He met Friedrich Alfred Krupp on a business trip to Alexandria, who was currently on a trip to Egypt and, since he liked the openness of the young Schinzinger, offered him a job as a technical employee for international business. After Schinzinger's resignation from the Foreign Office, he signed a ten-year contract as technical advisor for the trade in artillery products and raw materials for weapons production in South America. He stayed here for the most part in the years to come, doing numerous business deals for the Krupp company in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Uruguay. For this business he received very good commissions from the Krupp company.

As Greg Singh mentioned; - Krupp was also successful in selling their articles in Argentina:
