I believe this picture was drawed in 1890, by M. K. something (sorry I forgot his name). And I HAD seen the colored version of this picture in a book of mine, but I need time to recall its name and find that book.

PS, I have another colored portrait of Kaiser Wilhelm II.

When I uploading that picture last night, the third reich forum was closed and was moved to this place. I thought my post was failed and prepared to repost it today. :) Thanks Marcus!

And Mikael I would scan that picture as soon as I find it. But I'm afraid it will take months cos I have collected more than 8,000 historical books and magazines, and it's a hard work to find a picture from them.

regards!

Max Johann Bernhard Koner (1854-1900) was the artist.

If you find it, by search or just by "luck" think of me :)

Hey Mikael I found a colored version from an old book about German history printed in BRD in 1972, and scanned it. But this one is not the one I mentioned earlier, which is more clear and had better color than this ugly one. Take this and I gonna keep looking.

And thank you Mark for your kind help!

regards

PS: I wonder if this paint the original work of Max Koner, or an unskilled copy painted by another guy. And I also wonder was Koner's original portrait a monochrome work, draw by charcoal or pencil?

I have tried to find that image on the web through every single german webpage searcher i could find, and that was not possible ! But in two weeks i will borrow a super duper huge book, over 600 pages, with images, called "Prussia, Architecture, arts and culture" with lots of images of palaces, fountains, statues, and portraits. Perhaps that one is in there, i know it stretches from the Great Kurfürst to Willy..

But i think there is a better hope that someone on this forum has it :)
