Sorry, but, why Argentina? Couldn't be that the Alps or an European area with mountains? He's fully dressed as a militar, so perhaps it was during WW1.

Peter, the link says "argentia" not argentina, I don´t know too much about Jacobsen but I think he never came to my country.
