6) Heinz von Pflug-Hartung, born 17.7.1890 Leipzig, but in Prussian Inf Rgt 29 in 1914, severely wounded at langemarck. Took part in May 1915 bombing raid over paris. 300 bombing missions during the war (SA3bX 12.11.16 as CO Kampfstaffel 39, but find no HHOX for him), but as CO of Sturmkompagnie Pflugk-Hartung in the Guard cavalry Rifles Division Freikorps, BLOWN UP in his car in Berlin, 26 March 1920 and died same day of wounds. Street bombed by a Polish Red.

IR 29 was part of 31 Brigade,16 Infantrie Division(Rhineland)in 1914.

The 31 Brigade,detached, fought at Langemarck,November 1914.

Hauptmann Heinz von Pflugk-Hartung commanded the HQ at the Eden Hotel were Karl Liebknecht and Rosa Luxemburg were first detained,later murdered.His brother,Leutnant Horst von Pflugk-Hartung(1889-1967) a former naval officer, also served with him in the Sturmkompangie.

Both brothers,among others,were acquitted of the murders.

The Kapp Putsch that had occurred on the 13-17th March 1920 appears to have unleashed some payback on both sides for past transgressions.
