Thanks Cnock,excellent photos.

The Lehr Regiment was an excellent formation.According to the Australian Official History:
..its name 'Instructional Regiment' portends this had originally been employed at Potsdam as a unit for training purposes.
The forerunner of the Pz. Lehr of WW2.

The Australians encountered the 3. Garde Division at Lagnicourt and 2nd Bullecourt--honouring it as a "fire fighting" division,with it moving both from West to East and vice versa in times of crisis.

I'm still trying to reconcile where the Garde-Jäger Bataillon was in November 1918.It may not have been in Macedonia but the Vosges.
