Medical Branch
Sorry for the delay Peter,
I was away for a couple of days.
Who was the professional head of the Prussian Army Medical Branch during the entire course of WW1?
Regards
Glenn

Veterans
Hi Peter,
I should not imagine there were too many veterans of 1866 still in or recalled to service in WW1. Of course people like Hindenburg, von Woyrsch and some other very senior Prussian commanders had seen service in that campaign as very junior officers or aspirant officers.
Who was a former commander of Dragoon Regiment Nr. 6 who for most of the war commanded a Reserve-Division? A couple of further clues: Unusually for the times he was Jewish and retired as charakterisierte General der Kavallerie. He was also a Pour le Mérite winner.
Regards
Glenn

Loeb
Hi Peter,
here he is. The photograph is taken from an interesting little article in the January 1989 edition of the Zeitschrift für Heereskunde titled General der Kavallerie Robert Loeb - Die Geschichte eines jüdischen Generals. The General died on the 26th of January 1925.
Regards
