I might be missing this one but does anyone know if the Germans had gunboats or other naval vessels stationed in Southwest Afrika during the Herrero Wars? I'd be interested in ship names and what classes. Thanks in advance!

The gunboat SMS Habicht arrived in Swakopmund January 18, 1904 from Capetown, where the vessel had some repair.work done.

Thanks! Would anyone know if there's an online (or offline) source for information on the SMS Habicht, preferably pictures and a description of its armament. I'm working on a wargame scenario. Thanks in advance!
