III Sea Battilion Unit Mark S98 Bayonet

Hi Lugerku,
A very nice bayonet, thank you for sharing the photos. I'm no expert on bayonet markings but I would guess this bayonet is from the staff of the III. Seebtallion that remained in Cuxhaven rather than in China with the rest of the battalion. That might explain the "st" on the markings?

Thanks for the repy. St. stands for Stamm-Seebataillon (Navy) or Depot Unit Sea Battalion.
