Offizier Stellvertreter in Schutztruppe?

Post by Cristiano de S.O Campos » 17 Feb 2006 23:09

Hi

In German Imperial Army had a rank named Offizier Stellvertreter.

"Offizierstellvertreter: A SNCO in an Officers' appointment. They wore the uniform of the Vize-Feldwebel with officer pattern metal numbers and or regimental ciphers on a shoulder strap surrounded on three sides by lace tresse. "

I see some photos with members of Schutztruppe in Kamerun and the list of European personal
in Schutztruppe in DOA and have these rank.

The Offizier Stellvertreter Rank Insignia in Schutztruppe was the same of German Imperial Army?

I´m attached some shoulder straps used by these rank in german army, i found in http://www.weitze.net

Cheers

Cristiano.
