From L’esercito e i suoi corpi volume terzo, tomo 1 (page 310).

The divisione Corazzata « Giovani Fascisti » (136º) was formed on May 24, 1942 in Verona. As part of the formation of a North African Celere Group, it was created by transforming the RECAM (Raggruppamento Esplorante Corpo d’Armata di Manovra). Units assigned to the division at the time of formation were: the Regiment GG.FF., created by the transformation of the GG.FF Battalion Group. (volunteer university students), 1st Reggimento Fanteria Carrista, Gruppo Autoblindo «Nizza», and the 136th Reggimento Artiglieria Corazzata. While it was an armored division, the division had in fact few armored units and vehicles, since the 1º Reggimento Fanteria Carrista assigned to the division was never actually part of it. Following the losses suffered during six months of war operations, on December 1, 1942, the division was reorganized and received the 8º Reggimento Bersaglieri in exchange for the Reggimento Fanteria Carrista (the former was rebuilt from different elements coming from units disbanded due to combat losses).

On February 24, 1943, the division is renamed the Bersaglieri d’Africa (45º) and it is given a new organization. However these changes can’t be executed because of the fluctuations of war events.

The division is disbanded on May 13, 1943, while operating in North Africa on the Tunisian front.

From L’esercito e i suoi corpi volume terzo, tomo 1 (page 291).

Constituted in Ivrea on 15 November 1941, the Divisions Alpina « Alpi Graie » (6ª) was assigned the 3º Gruppo Alpini Valle (battaglioni Alpini Susa, Val Pellice, Val Cenische), the 4º Gruppo Alpinji Valle (battaglioni Alpini Val Toce, Val d’Orco, Val Chisone), and the 6º Regimento Artiglieria Alpina (Gruppi Val d’Adige, Val d’Orco, Val Chisone).

On 6 March 1942, following changes in the major units, changes required for operational reasons, the division had the following formation: 2º Grupo Alpini Valle (battaglione Val Legora, Val Pescara) and the 4º Gruppo Alpini Valle (battaglioni Alpini Susa,Val d’Orco, Val Chisone) and the 6º Regimento Artiglieria Alpina (Gruppi Val d’Adige, Val Tagliamento). In January 1943 the 2º Gruppo Alpini Valle was replaced by the 1º Gruppo Alpini Valle (battaglioni
Val Tagliamento, Val Fella, Val Natisone). On 5 July 1943 the 3º Gruppo Alpini Valle (battaglioni
Val Pellice, Val Dora, Val Fassa) replaced the 1º Gruppo Valle that was assigned to the divisione « Julia ».

At the end of July the gruppo Artiglieria Val Tagliamento was given to the divisione « Julia » destined to rebuild the Conegliano and was replaced by the gruppo Val Chisone.

The divisione « Alpi Graie » disbanded on 10 September 1943 as a result of the armistice on 8 September, while defending the coast in the area of La Spezia.
