He was member of Anti-spy center of SIM in Triest in 1940 and head of this center from April 1941 to Fall 1942; he was promoted to Maj. and transfered to Milano to HQ of Car.Legion.

Any other info on him?

Yes an interesting person. It was claimed by Slovene enemies of partisans that Anacleto Onis was working with Slovene communists while he was in Ljubljana and even that he was killed in fall of 1942 by Italians because of this colaboration together with Angelo D'Amato. Yet he only moved to Milano to a new job and later worked with the British secret service on the outside like still loyal to Mussolini. It is claimed he was working against communist and Soviet intervantion or takeover in Italia. Could it be that he supported partisans in Slovenia already under the British suggestions?!

High ranking Slovene communist Vito Kraigher one of the leaders of VOS was captured in april 1945 ( later killed ). Before Slovene home guard police which collaborated with Germans he said on 24.4. 1945 that Onis head of OVRA in Ljubljana claimed he was responsible and even proud ( ?! ) that Zdenka Kidrič also VOS and communist leader was able to escape from hospital in April 1942 when she was arrested by Italians and then sent to hospital with just weak security.
