In front of the 'Altar of the Fatherland' (Altare della Patria - Monumento Nazionale a Vittorio Emmanuele II) the Duce Benito Mussolini (centre, with steel helmet), members of the fascist militia and foreign guests commemorate the fallen Italian legionnaires from the Spanish Civil War in Rome on October 31, 1937. Mussolini honors a grieving widow in a black mourning dress. Behind the Duce from left to right: Viktor Lutze (at the edge of the picture, Chief of Staff of the SA) and Minister of the Reich Rudolf Hess.............................

How about the photos of a crushed and battered Mussolini after his death.
The pictures, where the victors finally got to punch and kick him...

The pictures and videos are reminiscent of the dead Gaddafi, on whom the victors let off steam. You can't kill a person twice, desecrating a corpse, no matter who, that's unacceptable.

It's not the corpse, it's a principle, the dead "don't care", the anger of the abusers is understandable, what would have become of a Hitler's corpse, torn into small pieces, saved worlwide.

Death is not enough, one has to desecrate the corpse, but in how many parts.. ?

A human reaction, how could you be there, for what, more revenge on a dead man, Mussolini was a man too...
This total annihilation, this self-extinction down to nothing, that was probably what led Hitler to his suicide.

The Nazis repeatedly hanged many people, resuscitated them, and then rehung them to revel in their torment.
It was exactly like that, the agony of death wasn't enough for these sadists, they wanted to see the suffering over and over again, captured on film.

And a little later you watched Walt Disney films for your own entertainment.
One cringe today at this perversion, but that's how it was.

I have no answers, nor questions, the wickedness of us humans is immeasurable, most certainly for each of us all...
I'm not a "good" person, revenge is very close to me, but there are limits for me personally, the execution of the Ceaușescu couple was one of those limits.

The short Para second from the left trying to hide his face again. You can only see his helmet and a tiny part of his face as he peers out.
