Does anybody have any biographical info concerning Tullio Tamburini's deputy Eugenio Apollonio, Vice-Capo della Polizia (deputy Chief of the Police) of the Italian Social Republic.
Many thanks

hi.
Maybe you already know this thing, but I could only find that both Tamburini and Apollonio were sent to Dachau by the Germans on February 25th, 1945, as form of reprisal for the removal of Buffarini Guidi, a filo - German minister in RSI government.
At the end of the war they were still alive and could go back to Italy, where were not persecuted anymore.

See.: http://web.tiscali.it/RSI_ANALISI/governo.htm
Best.

Thank you Merobaudes. Yes I did know that they survived the war but your reply is helpful. I am particularly interested in Apollonio's dates of birth and death.

This is a photograph of Eugenio Apollonio, in the period post war (I guess).
From S. Bertoldi, "La Repubblica di Salò", vol. III, p. 714.

In the same book I read he was accused by the Germans of protecting Jewishes.
On Google books, in the preview of this book:
http://books.google.it/books?id=QBNHAAA ... QQ6AEwATgK
("Mussolini mi ha detto"), page 47:
Eugenio Apollonio (Trieste 1903 - Roma 1985).
Best.

Dear Mr Apollonio, may I as well ask you for private contact?
