Nowhere did I find information on these aircraft (specifications, design and development, number built etc).

The Ansaldo 304 you mention is actually a variant of the Ansaldo 300 series built between 1919 and 1930. It existed in a number of variants and thats where the 304 comes from..300 series, 4th variant or model...it was truly an aircraft of many uses. Transport, fighter, light bomber, reconascaince and later as a trainer and passenger aircraft and mail plane. It actually served in front line service from 1923 until the mid 30s then it remained in secondary roles until 1940. In fact in East Africa it was still in use as a recon plane when the war broke out. It was a very good plane hundreds were built and it was exported to half a dozen countries and today a single example is in storage awaiting restoration at the Italian Air Force Museum in Vigna De Valle.
