Any English-language books about BETASOM?

Yes, I'm seeing conflicting information online about it ... some websites say published 2020, some say 2023!

The author, Marek Sobski, is writing a series of books covering the Italian military during the 2GM. The first book is East Africa 1940-1941. You can read my review of that book HERE

He has written Lictorian Fasces over England which is not part of this series. You can read a review of that book HERE.

When I search for the BETASOM book, I find a Mushroom Model Pubns, 2020 listing, but not yet released. At this time, I assume he will included this book in his series. No clear idea when it will be published.

If you read Italian, I suspect the book will not offer anything new. If you are limited to the English language, the the book might be quite useful. Much will depend if he does a better job of organizing the material.

I too was interested in this book and followed up with the publisher, MMP press.

Unfortunately the book has been cancelled and will no longer be published through them.

Hopefully the author will publish the work himself as that seems to be the route he is taking now.

I have the Lela press french book on Betasom to tide me over for now.

Marek Sobski continues his "Mussolini's War" series. Vol. 3 "Battle of the Alps 1940" has been just published. The author also announced on Comando Supremo that vol. 4: "Betasom: Italian Submarines in the Atlantic 1940-1945" is scheduled for release in 2023.
