Leader of Tiroler Volksgesundheitsamts?

Can someone help with information on Hans Czermak.
He was Leader of the Tiroler Volksgesundheitsamts. I have no idea what this position is or involves but an Innsbruck Court sentenced him to 8 years imprisonment in 1949.
