Does the Muncherberg symbol look like a warning for an industrial waste site to you? Unique emblem shape. What does Muncherbergs stand for?
Funny observation Al, I've also made that remark. Müncheberg is a place/ town outside Berlin.

Charlie I was wondering if the shape of the emblem had a certain meaning to it.

No disrespect intended David, the place they did their fighting looked like a waste dump when all was said and done. Admitted one of the more interesting units of the war who had unenviable task of fighting Goliath without God on their side, so to speak.

Well, traditionally the triangle has come to symbolize the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Frankly I don't know but I'm sure the insignia has a history to it.

In relation to the units with the bear emblem, are they originating from Berlin? The bear is the traditional mascot of Berlin.

Is I JG27's emblem meant to be a cheetah superimposed on a map of Africa? Is the little face in the corner of Africa cowering at the site of the German cheetah?

Where's a site where one can look at emblems so I can pick a favourite?
