Well, it's been reported that soldiers from both sides were throwing weapons and running away with fear and creating panic all over th front(the soviet soldiers due to secrecy were not notified of a new weapon :D )

Actually, I was more wondering about the chaotic scene when those first Katyusha's would have impacted among the advancing Germans...
