So what were some of the rates of pay for peacetime and/or wartime German soldiers? I realize that arm of service and special rates apply so I'll say just the Recruit thru Snr NCO for Wehrmacht. Is this gonna be a hard Q to answer?

Hmmm... I'm not sure if this is right, but in 'Stalingrad' (the movie) a German soldier wanting to leave the city protests by saying "So where is my 30 marks a month? If you don't pay me right now I'm leaving!". I'm fairly sure he was a Private.
