Did any German POW's held in England successfully escape and make it back to main land Europe to fight again with the German/Axis forces?

There are always numerous stories of Allied pilots who were shot down over German territory, and desperately made it back home alive. But of the total number of German pilots / soldiers captured in Allied POW camps, what percentage of them have the desire to escape? And how many of those made it back alive????
Thanks!
Thanks!
