Gentlemen !

What ate the German soldiers when in campaign ?

What were the standard German rations ?

What about the quality of the food provided to German soldiers in Europe and Africa ?

Hope you'll send me some delicious descriptions !

Rationing

I think it's pretty sick how the Wehrmacht got a diet of 3000-4000 calories a day (which is how much a normal person should eat in 2 days, not 1), while the people in the concentration camps and ghettos were getting barely enough to survive. :(

Although I understand and agree with your point, that is the 'logical' way.
The German soldier needed to take in as many calories as possible to be an effective fighting machine. Those about to die didn't.

I suppose all parts of the Third Reich could be critiscised in the same way.

Racpisa i also agree with you in the last issue but 3000-4000 calories is not much at all for a marching, fighting, carrying soldier.

Hard training athlets during training eat up tp 12000 per day and the normal modern food for a normal living young man should be about 2400 per day.

I think that it's not strange at all that German soldiers received much more food than those in the concentration camps, I mean - soldiers needed to survive and be strong and fit, while the people in the camps were not supposed to live, so why feed them then?
