German Trenches in WW2

#1

Post by Aimway921 » 03 Apr 2018, 10:57

Hello.
I have a question regarding the trenches Germans dug during WW2, pore specifically on their defensive against the Soviets in 1944.
Did they simply dig the trenches, or did they follow a specific pattern? If there was a pattern, was it something that was unique to the Germans? Or was it simply a pattern of what would be best for that specific area? Maybe a combination of both?

I'm trying to find information on this topic for creating a battle in a WW2 Real Time Strategy game "Men of War: Assault Squad 2", and I want to make it as historically accurate as possible.

Thank you in advance,
