Wikipedia seems to contradict itself: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_F ... II)#Forces
The table states:
June 1941 80%
June 1942 80%
July 1943 63%
May 1944 62%

However the text below says:
June 1941 51%
July 1943 57%
April 1944 50%

Another source (I know that division strength is not constant) -
Number of German divisions by front in World War II - https://www.axishistory.com/books/134-c ... rld-war-ii

June 1941 70%
October 1942 70%
July 1943 66%
May 1944 55%

Adjusting that to Glantz's figure for 1941:

June 1941 80%
October 1942 80%
July 1943 75%
May 1944 63%

IF you count total military manpower much less.Numerator is Eastern Front and Denominator Total armed forces.. Date is June of each year(except January 1945) 41=3.2/7.2,42=2.8/8.4,43=3.1/9.2,44= 2.5/9.0 45=1.8/8.5.A radically different picture. As to industrial /armament," If it is true that the Second World War was ultimately decided on the battlefields of eastern Europe,by the clash of german and soviet tank armies, then the question arises WHY THE SHARE OF FIREPOWER AND MOBILITY OF LAND FORCES WAS SO CONSPICUOUSLY SMALL IN GERMANY"p.17,How the war was won" by Obrien, quoting from "Germany in the Second World War, the german state sponsored history of the war, establishes (with endless data) that no more than 20% of german armament effort was devoted to army weapons and equipment(30% if you count the Atlantic Wall, and V-2 programs which were under army control but in no WAY oriented against Russia). The truth is-apart from casualties-germany at no point concentrated its efforts against Russia. You need to look at a wider picture
