Casualty Totals first day of war?

Hi everyone

I was wondering if there are any good books on just the first day of the war? and casualty totals that is detailed on a per unit and location basis. Mainly for the German Side.

Also mainly interested in the Heer/SS and ground units, tanks, artillery etc.

I wondered if there are any good books or articles on the location of the German units, the time they moved out, what their day 1 goals were, and then at the end of the day 11:59pm Sept 1, were they had actually gotten to, casualties, and what the overall impression was at HQ

Sorry, meant to add on a side note, are there any letters or recollections from German Soldiers that may have been written the night before and the night after the first day?
