Operational security (code names)

#1

Post by K.Kocjancic » 20 Sep 2022, 09:35

I'm wondering if there were rules regarding using/assigning code names (for German units) as part of operational security (counterintelligence)?

Has anyone come upon some research on this topic?

Regards,
Klemen

Does anyone know how this concept would be called in German? Tarnung, Tarnnahmen, Tarnabzeichen?

I think it would be Deckname (abdecken = to cover).
