why general Hoth almost do nothing during stalingrad compaign

when general Hoth finished his breakthrough in the south outskirt of stalingrad ,until the fatal moment 19 november,he seems almost disappeared from the battlefield. who knows why general Hoth not act an impotant role during this period.

In mid-September 1942 for the sake of unity of command the XXXXVIII Corps was transferred under 6 Army control. That left Hoth with only two corps, mostly Romanian troops and passive tasks. Plans of active operations in his sector were considered but they were to be preceded by an ultimate mop-up of Stalingrad which was never completed.
