Hitler's Sister ... Last Name "Hitler"
Re: A.H.'s sister
Isn't having sex outside of marriage, and sleeping with one's uncle considered a sin by staunch Roman Catholics, too? If Geli was not concerned about those transgressions, why become suddenly pious over the issue of suicide?HaEn wrote:Geli Raubal could not have committed suicide. She was a staunch Roman Catholic; suicide is a mortal sin, which would have denied her burial in sacred grounds (church cemetary). She was however buried with full church rites. So if she did not ? who did "done her in"?. H.N.
Geli
It was not HER piousness that got her a grave in the church yard. It was the fact that the local priesthood had been convinced that she had not committed suicide; otherwise she would have been burried outside the yard. As far as SEX goes, there is an interesting book on her and her half uncle, "Geli Raubal", that gives some weird insights of their relationship. Anyway, she is dead, so is Onkel, so it's water under the bridge. Regards. HN
Is there any concrete evidence that they (Adolf and Geli) had sexual affair? Because it is pretty damn sickening if they did, mostly on his part for you would think he would have better sense, or at least he ran around yelling about high morals. Also because, even though Angela was a half sister, they were raised as one family by his mother. And from what I have read were very close in Adolf younger years. that would be insest in the 1st degree in the United States, I am not sure in Germany/Austria.
Two pictures of Paula Wolff's grave and it's location are given at the bottom of this page:

Actually Michael, IIRC, I read an account that stated that Bridget moved back to Ireland. To Tallaght, in Dublin to be exact. Where I used to live. She also kept the name Hitler all her life. There was a book written about her about 2 years ago.

Brigid Dowling and Alois Hitler, half brother to Adolf Hitler, met in Dublin and were maried in London on the third of June 1910 (fig. 1) They spent much of their early married life in Toxteth Liverpool where, Brigid has claimed in an unfinished autobiography, they were visited by Adolf in 1912.tonyh wrote:Actually Michael, IIRC, I read an account that stated that Bridget moved back to Ireland. Alois and Brigid had one son - Wiliam Patrick Hitler - and, after the marriage broke down and Alois returned to Germany before WWII, Brigid and William Patrick moved to the US amidst much publicity over his famous Uncle Adolf. William Patrick served in the US Navy and after demobilization married a woman of German extraction and settled under an assumed name on Long Island, New York along with Brigid. Brigid died in 1969 and William Patrick in 1987. They are buried in a cemetary on Long Island (fig. 2). The surname is protected by the author, but there are sufficient clues in the book to identify the family with a few hours internet research.

I don't know if you're being facetious or not, but I read that she was slightly retarded. I don't know if that's true or not. Much of the testimony in the interview seems very articulate, but she was also clueless about many things.mottii wrote:Paula Hitler was slightly retarded. was.
Can anyone tell me, was her 500-Marks-per-month pension enough to qualify her as well-to-do?
Even if it was, Big Brother was a real turd to Paula, and to Angela as well.

Bridget Hitler herself wrote a book in which she claimed that Adolf Hitler had visited her and her husband, Alois, Adolf's half-brother, in Liverpool shortly before the First World War. It was all false, of course; she was trying to cash in on her name, just like her son William Patrick Hitler.>>Alois Jnr, who emigrated to Liverpool in Great Britain, where he married an Irish girl, Bridget.<<

I would like to point out that both Himmler and Hitler are thouht to have been responsible for her death. It was classified a suicide to prevent any backlashes to Hitler and the National Socialists movement. It has been reported that when Adolf Hitler did not spend enough time with his niece, she committed suicide. The suicide is sure, but the actual motive open to question, as is the nature of the relationship between Adolf Hitler, and his sister, Paula's daughter.
