Identity Book for Female Member of the REICHSKULTURKAMMER

Post by RTFREY » 08 Apr 2007 21:48

Periodically if there is any interest I'll be showing some items from my document collection. My main interest is 3rd Reich ID documents with photos

This ID is for a member of the Reichsmusikkammer. Part of the REICHSKULTURKAMMER founded to promote GOOD culture and ban BAD.The organisation founded in 22 September,1933, to encourage all forms of artistic creation on behalf of Nazi ideology.

The Chamber was linked to the Ministry for public Enlightenment and Propaganda headed by Joseph Goebbels. The Reichskulturkammer was divided into seven subordinated chambers for literature, music, films, theatre, radio, fine arts, and press.

Membership was compulsory and if you were denied you could not continue to work.

This ID was for a young woman who played a "Harmonium" which is a small portable organ.

Evidentally she played for some church organization and that may be why her dues stamps were marked BEITRAGSFREI or free of contributions.

It is in MINT CONDITION.
