J. Duncan wrote:A cozy picture...yes, she is attractive. Greiser's wife is not very good looking to me...short, young, and vain...in the last picture she looks trashed (too much to drink)...I'd like to see a pic. of Greiser's first wife for comparison.
Was Greiser's wife a lot younger than her husband? In the last pic she looks like a teenager?

Attached is a photo of Veronica Eichmann, born in 1909. I found an article that said she died in 1992 or 1993. If anyone has an exact date, it would be welcome. I read somewhere that she refused to join the Nazi party. Any info would be welcome.

Sorry for going off topic, but I was browsing through this thread from the beginning, and at Geoff Walden's post http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 5#p1093275
was intrigued to see AH apparently packing a handgun in a shoulder holster under his jacket, unless that's a can of snuff in his shirt pocket. He's with his doctor and the doctor's wife and Eva Braun, so he should be relatively safe. Did he always pack a heater?

Edda and her mother receive a handwritten letter from Hermann Göring in his death cell at Nuremberg. An illustration from David Irving: "Nuremberg, the Last Battle"...

Nice picture of the postman with Görings family, but of a sort Goebbels could not have art-directed better.

Here are some interesting colour pictures with Nazi-wifes (from LIFE, photographer: Jäger):

First showing the wife of the late Mr. Troost, the IIIrd Reichs no.1 architect before Speer. Taken 1939 in the "Haus der Deutschen Kunst" in Munich.

Next one, also from 1939, showing Gauleiter Bürkel and General von Schobert with three unknown women on a Nazi party event in the Reichskanzlei. I guess the two in the middle are their wifes.

Third one, same occasion: Marga Himmler inbetween Seyss-Inquart and the devil.

Three more, als from Hugo Jäger/LIFE:

First, from the same Feb.1939 Reichskanzlei party as above, Seyss-Inquart with a, lets say, moderately attractive unknown woman.

Second, unknown woman, said to be Mrs Morrell, and the dictator having an enjoyable time, probably on the Berghof, shortly before the war. Surely one of the last pictures of him wearing a civilian suit. Looks like if they´re having a liquor, too.

Third, maybe not exactly right in a thread titled "wives and girlfriends of Third Reich officials: actors Paul Richter and Magda Schneider (Romy´s mother) with Max Wünsche in the Reichskanzlei in 1940.

Marga Himmler inbetween Seyss-Inquart and the devil.
Seyss-Inquart was no angel himself. He was directly responsible for the murder of 100,000 Dutch Jews.

Unless they had moved the chairs to the Berghof, that's the Mooslahnerkopf tea house and the woman is Gertrud Deetz, married Albert Forster.

cheers

Frankfurter, that is not the wife of Dr. Morell, but wife of Gauleiter Albert Forster...

Another picture of same occasion, also from LIFE :

Thanks for the correction. I only assumed it could have been Mrs. Morrell, wasnt sure.

Here is one more picture, it shows Bormanns wife Gerda with children:
