Soon after their arrival in Germany in 1933, The American Ambassador's daughter Martha Dodds, her brother Bill and a journalist acquaintance were driving through Nuremburg when they were caught up in the public humiliation and head-shaving of a 19-yr-old german girl, Betti Suess, who was caught in flagrante delicto with her Jewish boyfriend after a campaign against them was whipped up by Julius Streicher.

Although their journalist friend didn't scoop the event, it and Martha's presence at it grew into a major issue at the time, and after some time the newpapaers reported that Betti Suess was incarcerated fater a mental breakdown.

Does anyone know what happened to Betti Suess?
