Thankyou very much. :)

I have been coloring photos for some time now.

Here's another colorized wedding portrait.

Larry, these are fantastic! I've got to talk to you sometime about how you do that. What software do you use?

Best,

Thankyou Vikki.

I use Photoshop 8 to color my photos.

Here is another colored wedding photo I did a while ago.

colt45 is right, Larry, you've done a great job on those photos! And I love the spectacles on the bride in the last one you posted, they're an unusual detail to see on a woman.

Below, some pictures from an album in my collection. They're unusual for the period because the groom is in civilian attire rather than a uniform of some kind, which is probably explained because they date from about the mid- to late-'30s.

Best,
~Vikki

Toni (no surname) with his beautiful bride Trudel on their wedding day 19 September, 1942 in Rudesheim.

Toni has Inf. Rgt. 21 on his shoulder board slips and has earned the Ost Medal, West Wall Medal, KVK in bronze with swords and the SA Sport Badge.

Cheers

Hello,

finally a good excuse for me to join the party here. Found today the attached picture from the wedding of an außerplanmäßiger Heeresrevierföster (supernumerary Army forester) [Thank you, Mssrs. Schlicht & Angolia]. And the top cherry of all is that the chap obviously wore that uniform when he married in March 1946
Thanks to the Allies redesigning the German economy a bit at the time you had to wait 240 month or so for a new men's suit. Seems that was too much for him :P

The Germans allowed proxy marriages for soldiers serving abroad and here, in the Western desert, Oberst Bernhard Ramcke looks on paternally as a member of his brigade signs the documents marrying him to a girl back home...

Hi

Another in my collection.

The Hauptgefreiter has earned the EK 2, Bomber Clasp in bronze and his pilot's badge can just be seen at bottom of photo.
Beside the EK 2 is the Luftwaffe 4 Year Service Medal and the 1938 Sudatenland Occupation medal.

Information on back does not ID the couple but gives a wedding date of 19 Dec. 1941.

Cheers
