Wow, very impressive!I search and can't find one thing on this girl. Thanks in advance for notifying with new information.
I too wonder if the roads are the same today as the roads were in 1944-1945.

Even if the roads aren't, there's at least some chance that other landmarks are. Speaking of which, where is the church? Is it on the left at the beginning of the clip? Also, I wonder what those two sections of rock wall are that flank the road entrance behind her, and that white pole object that's leaning to the left in the background.

About those roads. It's possible that the road she was on is still pretty much the same as it was in 1945. Depending on what part of the world you're from, those old roads may have been in use for hundreds of years, and rather than radically alter them, they built a larger newer expressway somewhere nearby.

Dear Forum,

New findings in Via Michelin,

1.This is referred to Route PRAGUE-VELICHOVKY ( German HQ May 8th 1945 )

Take E 67 from Prague to the crossroads DOBRENICE-PRAVY.

That point is marked as Km 76

Read DRIVING DIRECTIONS, it states that the distance to DOBRENICE is 97 Km of which 79 ( !) are on motorways.

So we have a second certain possibility for the Km 78 data indication

2. NOW , position yourself on the same crossroads, bearing 130 degrees, 920 meters, there is a HUNTING LODGE with a TOWER circa 1880 ! Might this be what Bcc 335 discovered ?

Unfortunately the construction of the new highway ( much wider ) has severely altered sideroad features for further comparison, but I agree in that the rest of the roads are today as they were a century ago.

Cheers

Hey Teemu. I just had a look and you are so spot on. There is a Chopper at the 6 second mark, well spotted there
IN one of my earlier posts,i did mentioned that the girl look very modern! There was choppers during ww2 but i am not sure how advance the choppers were back in 1945.The chopper in the film looks advance for the time, but like i said there were choppers around in 1945.
Can we have more opinions from chopper experts!

Regards Alyson.

Guys, There are no Helicopters in the footage. Please take a few minutes to read the previous posts concerning the subject matter and bring yourselves up to speed.

What you are seeing is a Light recon airplane flying at tree top level.

Bcc 335.
I have check the two lasts post from you're posts and another members posts (The two long posts)and there is no mention of a plane  But i went back and checked the footage and yeah you're right,it is a small plane flying by.
There could be a chance that this small plane may have been filming her when flying by,meannig there could be a birds eye veiw of the lost German girl. Fat chance in finding this footage though! We can't even get information on the footage we have here!

Teemu

As far as I know there weren´t any American helicopters in the Western TO althou there were a few Germans.

There were maybe more than a hundred Piper Cub light airplanes thou !

Try to magnify a still. I will clear out the identification doubts.

Cheers

The plane looks to be a light liaison and utility aircraft such as the US Army L2.
