Does anybody know what ever happend to the wife of Günther Prien, Ingeborg, and his daughter?

Hello,

according to a 1958 magazine article (http://www.spiegel.de/spiegel/print/d-41759200.html) Ingeborg Prien later married a Lt.Col. of the newly founded Bundeswehr and changed her name to Inge Sturm-Prien.

The christian names of the Prien daughters were Birgit and Dagmar.

I can inform you that the wife of Günther Prien died in 1984. Both daughters are still alive.

Mar. 03, 1953 - At the anniversary of Günther Prien's death on March 6th. It is 12 years since the German U-boat commander Guenther Prien, the ''Hero of Seapa Flow'' sank with his crew when attacking a convoy. Because of his great navigating knowledge Prien was also highly esteemed by our then enemies. Our pictures show (above) pieces of remembrance of Günther Prien - and (below) Günther Prien's widow with her two daughters
