So the photo of Inga in Hitler's private box at the 1936 Olympics remains elusive.

Has anyone read her interviews with A. Hitler?

Where is there a collection of photos of Hitler's private box during the 1936 Summer Olympics? I'd like to see if Inga Arvad can be seen in the background. Thanks.

Leni Riefenstahl's film Olympia shows a lot different views of the 1936 summer games and Hitlers private box

I'm sorry I haven't been following this thread lately, but it just keeps getting better and better...

From Wikipedia:

A published photograph of her [Olga Chechova] sitting beside Hitler at a reception gave the leaders of the Soviet intelligence service the impression that she had close contacts with Hitler. She had more contact with the Minister of Propaganda, Joseph Goebbels, who referred to her in his diaries as "eine charmante Frau" ("a charming lady").

Great idea, brick2.
I've only been looking for still photos. Thanks for the suggestion.
I hope that film is on YouTube.

I had thought this photo was from Miss Denmark/Miss Europe in 1931

But looking at this promotion photo for Flugten fra millionerne (1934) I think it's from the same photo shoot and gives a better idea as to what "a perfect example of Nordic beauty" looked like in 1936.

I doubt there was an actual box at the stadium, at least not like there would have been at the operahouse. I have seen some pretty close up photos of Hitler watching the games from an upper deck of the stadium, and he is surrounded by party members in suits and military attire. But you might find some pictures of her at the Hermann Göring - Emmy Sonnemann wedding. According to Nigel Hamilton and others she befriended the bride-to-be and was invited to the wedding. It was covered by all the major world newspapers and magazines, and Life Magazine photographers took many photos, but unfortunately the online archive doesn't go back that far.

There is one picture of his private box in a book about the Nazi Women, but it's more famous for the fact that it's the only official photograph in which Hitler & Eva Braun appear together. Completely accidentally, of course.

Do you think she was a spy?

Has anyone seen "JFK and the Nazi Spy"

Delia-I don't believe so, I've seen more than my share of pics of Eva Braun, and that's not one of them.

Delia-The book I saw with the picture of Eva in Hitler's private Winter Olympics box, it's entitled Women of the Third Reich by Anna Maria Sigmund. It chronicles Geli Raubal, Eva, Carin Göring, Emmy Göring, Magda Goebbels, Leni Riefenstahl, Henny Hoffmann von Shirach, and Gertrud Scholz-Klink.

The photo in the book is on page 151 . Shows Hitler sitting with two other
men wrapped in blankets with the caption saying

The only official photo (released by mistake) that shows Hitler and Eva Braun together at the
Olympic Winter Games in Garmish-Partenkirchen. Feburary 1936 (Braun with her sister Gretly in the 2nd row.

That link to the JFK and the Nazi Spy videos was very interesting. I wish there was a way to obtain copies of the original documents that they mentioned.

I recently found a newspaper article in a Saskatchewan paper dated March 21, 1936 at Google News archive that I hadn't seen before. My gut tells me that it's a phony, but there it is...

Whoa, that's interesting. Does Google News archive phony papers or do you think it's the article that's phony? Where was she in spring 1936?

Here it is in more papers.

http://news.google.com/newspapers?id=0j ... city&hl=en

http://news.google.com/newspapers?id=BC ... city&hl=en

How strange. This seems like it would have been more damning than a photo with Hitler at the Olympics.

Does anyone know the story behind this? Was she in Germany or Denmark at that time?
