Have read much about Albert Speer but cannot find anything about Margaret during his days in Spandau and afterward. And very little about his children. Anyone have anything on this?

I have read quite a bit on some of the children and wife's of the top NAZI's. I have pictures of Speer's children as adults stored on my computer but don't know how to post them here. One of his son's is an architect as his father was. His daughter who appears in many of Eva Braun's home movies is in politics in Germany although I think it quite a radical party. Margaret Speer lived in Heidelberg after her husband's imprisonment and lived there until her death.

Hilde Speer Schramm
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hilde_Schramm

Hilde Schramm (born 1936) is a German politician. Internationally she is known mainly as the daughter of a senior Nazi official and war criminal Albert Speer.

As a teenager, Schramm was awarded a competitive scholarship to study in the United States. The US government initially refused her a visa, but reversed its decision in the face of publicity, including offers of hospitality from several families (some of them Jewish).

Schramm became a prominent European political figure who distinguished herself for helping victims of anti-semitism and Nazi atrocities. She is also a publisher and sociologist. In 1994, she was awarded the Moses Mendelssohn Award from Berlin for her work. Schramm is active in politics, and has been a leader of the Green Party in Berlin. She has also served as vice president of the Berlin city council.

She is interviewed extensively in the 2005 docudrama Speer und Er.

Margret Speer Nissen (born 19 June 1938 as Margarete Speer) is a German photographer. She is the daughter of a senior Nazi official and war criminal Albert Speer.

Nissen was named after her mother. She lived in Obersalzberg until the end of the war. After the imprisonment of her father, the family moved to Heidelberg. She studied archaeology at the university in Heidelberg. On 14 April 1962 she married the archaeologist Hans Nissen and they lived a couple of years in Baghdad. Nissen set out to become a mainly self-taught photographer. Since 1980 her work has primarily been shown at exhibitions in Berlin. As a photographer of architecture, she has worked at the Berlin exhibition "Topographie des Terrors".

I know this thread is about Margaret Speer but perhaps someone
will be interested in this site? There is a photo of Albert standing outside
his home.

Hilde looks exactly like her mother. Albert and Arnold are spitting images of their father. Marget's a fair combination of both. I remember seeing them in Eva's home movies, Hilde & Margret, talking with Sepp Dietrich. He was holding Margret, and she looked for all the world like she wanted to jump out of his lap and get away! :)
