Gertrud Seyss-Inquart
Re: Gertrud Seyss-Inquart
Here is the story of five suitcases!
GERTRUUD SEYSS-INQUART (Note the name of Gertrud with two U evidently copied from a Dutch site)
Wife of the Nazi Reichskommissar for Holland, Dr. Arthur Seyss-Inquart. She fled Holland on the 3rd.September, 1944, a day before her husband made it an offence for anyone to leave. She was last seen leaving The Hague with five suitcases, bound for Salzburg in Austria.

Re: Gertrud Seyss-Inquart
One of Artur and Gertrud's grandsons actually wanted to become involved with the Anne Frank foundation (His views are diametrically opposed to his other relatives). He was basically told they weren't about to let anyone related to Seyss-Inquart be involved. A lot of people were upsset about it, Simon Wiesenthal said it was a huge mistake for them to exclude him just because of his lineage.

Helmut Seyss Inquart
Arthur Seyss Inquart and his wife Gertrud had three children: Ingeborg , Richard and Dorothea. Helmut is the son of Richard and was born in 1956. The image that his grandmother and aunts in his youth by his grandfather sketches is positive. Helmut's own father tells him nothing about the Nazi past of the old Seyss Inquart.
Richard Arthur looks mainly like his father and the husband and father are quite high. Helmut did not feel
him when growing up have had his name.
He never noticed that someone like him to look On the contrary, some people regarded him as "one of us" when they hear his name and the defendants injustice that Seyss Inquart in their eyes during the Nuremberg trials is affected. Helmut is interested very for the history and especially the Nazi past of his native Austria, little by little, he also
more and more about the career of his grandfather to know. Helmut studied mathematics and German and is taught in
those subjects. He has clearly moved away from his grandfather and wanted to end year eighty cooperate
activities of the Anne Frank House. This is him by his father and uncles strong resentment. They find it
horrible that Helmut 'has soiled his own nest. "The family of his own generation understand that he distance
has taken the deeds of his grandfather, but do not go so far as to also disassociate from their grandfather.
The cooperation with the Anne Frank Foundation is ultimately not come, the idea met with much opposition in government. Helmut Although the actions of his grandfather condemned, he found it in an interview in 1987 difficult for the man to call a war criminal, that does hurt him and brings the responsibility he feels to tedicht.

Re: Gertrud Seyss-Inquart
I know several people, including Simon Wiesenthal, protested vehemently when Helmut was basically told the Anne Frank Foundation wanted nothing to do with him. All these years have gone by and generations afterwards, they're still paying for the sins of their fathers.Helge wrote:Helmut Seyss Inquart
