For some reason she and her employer are driving through the streets of Cologne amid fighting, and as a war cameraman is recording, their car is fired upon my the Americans, and possibly the Germans as well. She survives, and is attended to by American medics, but when the fighting flares up again, her fate becomes unknown. What really happened to her?

According to this sje was killed when the car was run over by a tank in the following battle.

Unfortunately, there was more than one car in the immediate vicinity. Still photos and motion pictures taken during the battle show that the car she was riding in was shot up, but not run over by any tanks...American or German. There is also film footage of her being treated by American medics.

The old woman has obviously confused the stories told her...or she has been told what to say.
