Capital punishment for offering immoral services?

#1

Post by u3562285 » 23 Jan 2018, 08:01

Hello, I've been doing research on German penal code as of May 1933. I understand there were revisions made to combat prostitution, begging and asocial behavior. Clause 361 has allowed to punish those "who publicly and conspicuously or in a manner likely to annoy the public incites immoral acts or offers immoral services". There has been a long-term work placement as a legal consequence.
My question is what were the minimum, the maximum and the most commonly given amount of time in a workhouse at that time?
Are there any refernces to clause 361 or example cases that are well known to the public?

Most Prostitutes were sent to Ravensbrück. Some were sent to other camps to work in camp brothels as prostitutes for non-Jewish/Russian inmates. Midwife's caught performing abortions were sentenced to camps to perform abortions on inmates

Source? It´s very unlikely that someone who is imprisoned in a camp beceause executing illegal treatment should exactly this offense repeat there on SS-orders.

No source but haven't you somehow answered your own questoin/doubt?
"Illegal" when using your profession on own account - perhapts for money etc.
"Legal" when using your profession for medical purposes in a KL clinic or hospital by order of SS personel etc. There's a big difference. Counterfeiting was also illegal but was done by order. Many prisoners were used for special asignments because of their professional skills.
A camp prostitute (if any one cared) would also be "out of work" for a period of time during her pregnancy. And what about after? Earsier and not least safer with a professionally performed abortion by someone knowing what they are doing.

Prostitutes sent to camps to be prostitutes
Counterfeiters sent to camps to be counterfeiters
Abortionists sent to camps to be abortionists

Not sure how any of this unlikely. Need a source, read Helm's Ravensbruck book
