Christl Kukula was the wife of Carl Szokoll.
Carl Szokoll was the adjoint of Robert Bernardis.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_SzokollIn his years as a cadet, he met his wife Christl Kukula, the daughter of a Jewish Vienniese industrialist. After the Anschluss in 1938, he had to end his relationship with Kukula because of the Nuremberg laws that forbade romantic involvement with Jews. Despite this, he secretly stayed in contact with her during the next years and married her, after the war, in 1946. Together they had one son.
Szokoll was adjoint of Colonel Kodre in Vienna. He was involved in Stauffenberg plot the 22 july 1944. But he was not worried. Nobody denounced him and he was safe. Lucky man !
But i think that the most surpising thing in his life was that he rejoined his jewish youth's love in 1945 ! Lucky again.
Indeed he met her again before the end of the war, because their son, named Richard, was born in january 1945. It means that Christl and Robert became involved again at least 9 months before, like in march 1944. It means that during the Stauffenberg plot, he was in relations with Christl. But looks like the Gestapo didnt pay attention ! Lucky for ever !
But one thing is still a mystery to me : how Christl Kukula, a jewish girl, daughter of a jewish austrian industrialist could have survived the war ? and was free at the end of the war since she was dating Szokoll.
