And the most crazy too! Imagine yourself jumping out of a V1 prototype over and over until mister Wernher von Braun started to realise not many were going to pull this off without getting themselves killed!

Yes, I agree, this is an interesting post.

Not much is written about the women in war-time Germany.
Perhaps men were afraid (probably shy) as to speak of women fighting alongside them in the front.
The only one everyone seems to talk about is Hanna Reitsch (Test pilot)or Leni Riefenstahl (the movie Director)

If anyone has any available pictures or stories about this subject, I too, would like to know more about them.

Found details of the following books today, and thought you might find them interesting:

"Eine Frau an seiner Seite. Ehefrauen in der »SS-Sippengemeinschaft«" von Gudrun Schwarz (Hamburger Edition 1997, ISBN 3-930908-32-8, DM 58,-)
"Frauen in der SS: Sippenverband und Frauenkorps" von Gudrun Schwarz (1997)
"Angeklagt: SS-Frauen vor Gericht" von Claudia Taake (Oldenburg 1998)

:D Hope they prove usefull

Surprised no one remembered IRMA GREESE, The Butcher of Belsen and the Nazi Female Devil personified. A stubby blonde - she was hanged promptly by the British.
