Hello,
some more shots of Flakhelferinnen. These are just receiving a lesson about the 'Flakfernrohr' (flak telescope) that was used for measuring the bearing between the searchlight position and the target.
In the background you can see part of a searchlight and (even further back) a radar dish.

Helferin und Hund
Some photos on the subject that began this thread: Helferin und Hund.
Three of a set of about 80 of the same group of women in their living quarters, unfortunately removed from the original album.
The first shows a good, and seldom seen, view of the raincape.
Best,
~Vikki

Re: Female Auxiliary Photographs
A few I found while surfing eBay.de.
Re: Female Auxiliary Photographs
Wolfgang,
Great photos of both the workdress and the women's work (or training?) environment!
So that the photos are more fully sourced, can you also give the auction number for them?
Best,
~Vikki

Re: Female Auxiliary Photographs
Hi Vikki. Unfortunately, I can't. I just right clicked and saved several days ago without taking any further info. Sorry. I can remove them if need be. Just let me know.

Re: Female Auxiliary Photographs
Hi,
another one from me. An auxiliary that seems to be rather sceptical regarding the talents of her photographer. But he did a good job. She's a Heer Nachrichtenhelferin-Unterführerin (Army signals auxiliary with a rank roughly equalling that of a sergeant) as indicated by the chevron with the two pips on her upper left arm. The photo was presumably taken before March 1942 because she's lacking the piping around the cap edges and the Blitz patch that were introduced then. Curiously she seems to wear a wide rim Führerin brooch though belonging to the NCO category.

Re: Female Auxiliary Photographs
Hello all,
after Vikki published those Helfs & hounds photos I'll come up with another animal pic. Two Luftwaffen Helfs trying to commandeer a Greek mule that seems to be offering quite some resistance. Perhaps they shouldn't previously have claimed that it was planned to become Göring's personal mount.

Another nice donkey pic can be found at http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/ ... t=helferin

Re: Female Auxiliary Photographs
Nice picture of a Marinehelferin, Sylvie.
Here are some more from me.
Top picture:
This lady from the Luftwaffe holds a Führerin rank as indicated by the pips on her jacket collar. On her left arm you can barely see part of a chevron so she must actually be a Luftnachrichten-Führerin. As she's still lacking the silver piping around the jacket collar the photo must have been taken between July 1941 and October 1943.
The two stripes around her cuffs indicate that she is in charge of a Luftnachrichten-Helferinnen-Betriebskameradschaft.
Source: http://www.ebay.de auction no. 130193618861
Centre picture:
A Luftwaffe auxiliary as indicated by the tie pin. Interestingly she's wearing some earrings. Photos of auxiliaries with jewlry a seldom to be seen because it was disliked by the authorities for being somewhat indecent.
Source: http://www.ebay.de auction no. 230217101671
Bottom picture:
Fine study of a Flak auxiliary. On her right arm the Flakwaffenhelferin patch.

Re: Female Auxiliary Photographs
Great photos, I had that Flakwaffenhelferin patch. we didn't know what it was and had a hard time selling it for 10 dollars
