Hello Thorsten and all
just a quick update. As you have already warned me, Dr. Killius' contact could not help me. I wrote Franka Maubach an email but never, unfortunately, received a reply. Dr. Killius told me in advance that she did not think that Dr. Maubach could help me. I also contacted the German Red Cross. They informed me that my mother did not search for anyone but her husband. So I am still at the beginning of my searches and it seems like not even the smallest puzzle piece will come forward. I will however call Ilmenau to find out who owned the house "Mutterliebe" in Elgersburg during the war. Maybe that way I will be provided something I can continue my search with. I will keep you informed as soon as I find something that will help me. I haven't given up hope yet.

Re: Female Auxiliary Photographs
Hello,
here's another one from my collection. A Luftwaffe-Führerin a bit older. She came with a set of fog auxiliaries I bought recently so it should be a photo from the last year of WWII. Interestingly I've never encountered a Führerin so far wearing the M43 or M44 jacket. Has anyone else seen one doing so?
Best regards

Re: Female Auxiliary Photographs
Hello,
here's another snapshot. Birthday of a Luftnachrichten-Führerin in Amsterdam on June 9th, 1944. The date is interesting because the Führerin is already wears the new rank insignia that were to become effective on July 1, 1944. The order describing the new insignia had been issued just two days before on July 7th.
Also noteworthy are the pullovers of the three buxom Helferinnen that aren't military issue. Usually Helferinnen stationed abroad were not allowed to have any civilian clothes in their possession. When they bought such items in the garrison towns they were to be kept under lock by their Führerin till the Helferin went home on leave and could take the things with her. The three here seem to be quite proud of their knitwear, perhaps something homemade.
Best regards
