Does anyone know anything about Wehrmacht Helferinnen? I have a picture of some girls wearing the Deutsche Wehrmacht armbands, however I've only seen men issued with them. Just wondering if they are actually their own armbands.

Does anybody recognise the rectangle pin worn under the SS runes by the girl in the centre ? She does not wear an NSDAP badge which surprises me.

Bund Deutscher Mädel Leaders Sport Proficiency Pin. The middle and far members are also wearing DRL Sports Badges. The far left member is also wearing a HJ/BDM diamond pin above her party badge.

You did not have to hold membership in the NSDAP to be in the SS although it was highly encouraged.

Not much to contribute at all...

My grandmothers younger sister in the "Bund Deutscher Mädel", her first name was Helene.

Helene was a very nice character, Helene passed away many years ago, my very dearest great aunt, we all remember the lady with respect.
Her only photo in the uniform of the "Bund Deutscher Mädel".

A convinced National Socialist, she very rarely spoke about the subject in her later years.

I would like to ask if there´s anyone here who knows the color of the SS helferinnen uniform (I don´t mean either the Aufseherinnen or the Kriegshelferinnen, but really only the uniform of the SS Reichsschule graduates in Oberehnheim.) Feldgrau or grey ? Does even exist any preserved SS helferin uniform which is really 100% original ?
