Lebensborn in France

hi,

I am looking for informations, documents, photos about the only one Lebensborn in France. It was in Lamorlaye / Chantilly (50 km north of Paris). I haven't any name of officers or somethings else ; just his name Westwald

Bonjour Fred,

The Lebensborn Heim in France was located in the Château Ménier in Lamorlaye next to Chantilly. His german name was Heim "Westwald".
Leiter was Dr Fritze.

and a testimony of a child born in this Heim.

Lebensborn org was a maternity network for spinster woman. Purpose was to allow german women to give childs to III Reich.
During the war the organisation serve to "germanize" child kidnapped through europe with "good" racial characters.
They could be adopted by german familly after changing identity.

Lebensborn heim were set up through in Poland, Luxemburg, Belgium, The Netherlands, France, Danmark and Norway.

Lebensborn = source de vie.

Les "Lebensborn" sont des sortes de "haras humains" créés par les nazis dans le but de fabriquer des enfants "de race pure". Le seul créé en France fut celui de Lamorlaye (dans l'Oise).

Ce que je cherche éventuellement ce sont des photos de l'époque. Par contre concernant les naissances à Lamorlaye, il n'a pu y en avoir, car ouverture de Lebensborn en février 1944 et l'Oise a été libérée fin aout 1944 ! cqfd.

Sinon en ce qui concerne le lieu je connais je suis du coin, me manque juste des photos et des renseignements comme ceux que tu m'as donné.

I just said like George. I just tell what I think about one thing.

No child could be born in this Lebensborn ... He opened in february 1944 and the German leave in August 1944.

I suggest you to try Bundesarchiv in archives of Personlicher stab RFSS of which Lebensborn was part (NS 19) or archives of RuSHA (Rasse und Siedlungshauptamt).
In France, Bibliothèque Nationale at Paris or Bibliothèque de Documentation Internationale Contemporaine at Un of Nanterre (impressive).

i don't agree with Fred.
Heim Westwald was closed on august 10 1944 and staff with 3 children were evacuated at Heim Taunus at Wiesbaden.
After the war only 3 children born at Lamorlaye could establish they were born here and obtain birth certificate.
Marc Hillel (Au nom de la Race) deal with the interview of Ingrid de Fouw a former Lebensborn child from this home. Therefore she never trace his real parents. Hillel wrote that this home was reserved for illegitimate children of officers in France.
International Tracing Service at Arolsen in Germany hold archives of the whole Lebensborn children.

Lebensborn = source of life.

The "Lebensborn" are kind of "human stud farms" created by the Nazis in order to make children "purebred". The only established in France was that of Lamorlaye (in Oise).

What I am looking possibly these are photos of the day. By cons on births in Lamorlaye, it could not exist at all, because of Lebensborn opening in February 1944 and the Oise was released late August 1944! QED.

Otherwise regarding the place I know I'm on the corner, I miss just photos and information like that you gave me.
