Help - comparison of Red Army and Western Allied artillery ammunition usage

#1

Post by Sheldrake » 19 Jul 2019, 13:01

Within the last year i read a discussion on one of the WW2 forums about the relative artillery ammunition expenditure of the Germans and the Red army. Someone posted a link to a Russian posting that claimed that Western Allied artillery ammunition consumption was around three times that of the Red army, while casualties were in the reverse proportions. This was alongside some sourced claims about the relative ammuniton expenditure of the Germans and Red army in the east. My searches have drawn a blank. Can anyone help point me at the right links?
