James,

Prehaps you could post it here to help others that may be looking for the same info?

I have a couple of questions concerning Soviet Army oob's.
1) What are the oob's of the 230th and 248th rifle divisions at the end of the war?
2) What are the oob's of the 5th Guards, 11 Guards, and 11th Tank Divisions/Corps at the end of the war? I'm specifically looking for heavy tank regiments/brigades attached to these units.
3) What Red Army units had IS-3 tanks?
Thanks in advance for any help with these questions.

Soviet RIfle Division Histories

#8

Post by Craig Crofoot » 14 Sep 2003, 15:49

James and all,

Michael Avanzini and I are writing a history of every single Division formed by the USSR between 1917 and 1992. We decided to start with the Rifle Divisions (Part One) and will be covering Divisions with the numbers 1-75 in the first year (2003-2004). You can see a sample of our work at: http://journalsovietarmy.org
Be warned, it is a subscription basis. The reason is we're trying to raise enough money to cover research in Russia and not for our pockets.
