American Lend-Lease to the USSR...

#1

Post by Napoleon XIV » 21 Feb 2003, 08:46

I really need some specific figures for the years 1941 to 1942 and for the rest of the war also (but 1941 and 1942 are the most important years).

I'm writing a paper on the Eastern Front and I need the estimated amounts of stuff for a rather important part of my paper :D

Thanks in advance!

In 1941 - 750 planes, 501 tanks, 8 AA guns, but that is British-American aid - not American alone. US sent 545000 $ worth of war material to USSR in 1941, considering that total amount of US LL aid ,to all participants, amounted to 741 million $ in 1941, that means that USSR received only 0.1% of US aid in 1941. If we take all LL aid to USSR as 100% then war material that arrived in 1941-1941 would amount to 7%.

Have you tried the search facilty within the Forum as this topic had been kicked around on several occasions, and I would think that the figures you require would be amongst them
