Good morning all,

Above is about a current search/identification of a PB1 Catalina Flying Boat that crashed circa 1945.

Research and forensic testing are ongoing.

Article mentions Lend-Lease.

Article mentions the Soviet's Georgy Zhokov.

My question would be...what the check is a PB-1 Catalina?

A PB-1W was a USN B-17.
A PBN-1 was a USN produced Catalina.

The PBN-1 and PBY-6A were sent via Lend-Lease to the USSR.

Good afternoon Dann,

I did not ask a question.

I reported on an article from a "popular" magazine.

When reading the article, I noted it did not reference PBYs like those used between Philippines and DEI waters.

Ahhh.....nice short article. Not clear if they are talking about PBYs or some variant of it.

Thanks

Dann
