Soviet war map symbols 1944
Soviet war map symbols 1944
I am asking your help in defining what means small red circles in attached Soviet war map from Karelian front in 1944.

I need more context (an entire map possibly). Look like consecutively numbered strong points in rear areas to me.

Location of elements of the 73 [75 on the map is a typo] NKVD Border Regiment. Triangular flags are battalions' staffs, circles are location of companies from 1 to 15.

I don't think so. For common abbreviations see:

Thanks Art. Sound realistic. Companies of NKVD border regiment obviously monitored areas between fronts (red circles with green color).
Re: Soviet war map symbols 1944
I tried to find some combat log / diary of 101 border NKVD regiment (101 пп) from March 1944 but did not succeed. Regiment was located at that time in North Karelia somewhere between Alakurtti and Kantalahti. Can anybody help me with this issue?
